Integrated Approach: Living the Principles of Yoga

At Himalayan Nirvana Yoga, we believe that the true essence of yoga extends beyond the mat and into every aspect of daily life. Our integrated approach emphasizes not just the theoretical understanding, but the lived experience of the four main paths of yoga: Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Jnana Yoga. This holistic yogic lifestyle is woven into the fabric of our daily practices and community involvement, allowing students to truly embody the teachings of yoga. Karma Yoga, the yoga of selfless service, is practiced through various community activities and responsibilities within the ashram. Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion, comes alive in our daily kirtans, rituals, and the heartfelt engagement with children during Kirtan with Kids sessions. Raja Yoga, the yoga of mind control and meditation, is cultivated through structured meditation practices and mindfulness exercises. Jnana Yoga, the yoga of knowledge, is pursued through the study of classical texts and the wisdom shared by our experienced teachers. This comprehensive, experiential learning environment ensures that students not only read about these profound philosophies but also live them, fostering a deeper understanding and transformation. By immersing oneself in this integrated approach, one gains a holistic perspective and a profound connection to the true essence of yoga.
